Mulán's remake gets the highest age rating to date

The live action of existing and classic Disney movies have become the absolute trend of the fiction factory. So much so that, after having hallucinated with adaptations such as Aladdin or The Lion King, it is now the turn of other titles, among which are Bambi, The Little Mermaid and, there are even rumors of the possibility of a movie about Rapunzel and a remake with All Disney princesses together.

But before any of them, it is the turn of one of the most anticipated and the most expensive production to date: Mulán. The warrior will arrive from ancient China to our screens at the end of next March, exactly on the 27th. The expectation cannot be greater, even more so, after having witnessed controversies such as the existence of the Mushu dragon in this new version.

In the final stretch for the premiere of the film, something has happened that has left everyone open-mouthed. The age classification, that is, the consent that determines which audience the film is suitable for, has determined that Mulán will not be recommended for children under 13 due to its violent content. This makes it the most restrictive Disney live action so far.

Fact that gives us some clues about its content, which, as Niki Caro advanced us, its director will be more faithful to the original legend: "If a story is powerful enough it can be reinvented for a new generation," he commented in The interview with Los40. Everything indicates that the new Disney warrior will be involved in crude and realistic battles, since, according to those privileged who have already visualized certain scenes, many of them will be plagued by a great crudeness typical of a war.

We will have to wait a little longer to see what surprises us with this new live action, although, this time, the little ones are not going to have the opportunity to enjoy the movie and have to settle for the animated version.
