Mulán's remake gets the highest age rating to date

The live action of existing and classic Disney movies have become the absolute trend of the fiction factory. So much so that, after having hallucinated with adaptations such as Aladdin or The Lion King, it is now the turn of other titles, among which are Bambi, The Little Mermaid and, there are even rumors of the possibility of a movie about Rapunzel and a remake with All Disney princesses together.

But before any of them, it is the turn of one of the most anticipated and the most expensive production to date: Mulán. The warrior will arrive from ancient China to our screens at the end of next March, exactly on the 27th. The expectation cannot be greater, even more so, after having witnessed controversies such as the existence of the Mushu dragon in this new version.

In the final stretch for the premiere of the film, something has happened that has left everyone open-mouthed. The age classification, that is, the consent that determines which audience the film is suitable for, has determined that Mulán will not be recommended for children under 13 due to its violent content. This makes it the most restrictive Disney live action so far.

Fact that gives us some clues about its content, which, as Niki Caro advanced us, its director will be more faithful to the original legend: "If a story is powerful enough it can be reinvented for a new generation," he commented in The interview with Los40. Everything indicates that the new Disney warrior will be involved in crude and realistic battles, since, according to those privileged who have already visualized certain scenes, many of them will be plagued by a great crudeness typical of a war.

We will have to wait a little longer to see what surprises us with this new live action, although, this time, the little ones are not going to have the opportunity to enjoy the movie and have to settle for the animated version.

'Mulán' and his epic final trailer announced in the Super Bowl

'Mulán' is the next film chosen by Disney to have its remake in real action. We have already seen several advances in the film, but this latest trailer takes the cake: action, epic, magic, drama, good music and winks to the animated classic. The film opens this March and there can be no more hype to see Fa Mulán fight once more on the battlefield while fighting for his rights as a woman.

Disney decided to try their luck years ago trying to restart their animated universe but in real action. Hence emerged films such as 'Alice in Wonderland' or 'Maleficent'. But the adaptation that gave the bell and unleashed the madness was 'Beauty and the Beast', becoming the highest grossing musical in film history. Now Disney accumulates so many real action projects that it is impossible to keep track of them. And the next to arrive is that of 'Mulán'.

But this 'Mulán' is going to be different, because it pretends to be much more epic than its animated predecessor, in addition to depriving us of the magnificent themes of the soundtrack of the 1998 film that, over time, has become a film of worship. With this new breakthrough, which is already the final trailer of the film, we see that Disney wants to bet heavily on a story that, although we all know, will be much more incredible than ever.

The reasons why the live-action of 'Mulan' won't be for the whole family

The next Disney live-action will be innovative in regards to the company, since it has been classified as PG-13, marking the first time that one of the remakes of the studio will not be suitable for children, but why 'Mulan 'won't it be for the whole family?

The fact may surprise fans of the 1998 animated original, but first impressions of the new film suggest that Disney has a different direction in mind.

In each trailer we've seen so far, this new Mulan has distinguished itself from the original, the animated classic was an adventure full of fun and original songs sung by the characters.

The animated film also featured secondary characters that were placed in the public's taste, such as Mushu, the dragon that had the voice of Eddie Murphy.

Why 'Mulan' will not be for the whole family? The first images of the new film promise a darker and harder version of the war. There will be no singing, so the public must expect that there are vast battle scenes and intense martial arts fights when the heroine takes her father's place in the fight to protect China.
One thing is for sure, Mulan is not going to contain himself in violence, which is welcome for fans who want to see heroin fighting as the warrior she is.

Could a 'Mulan' with PG-13 rating suggest that Disney is no longer afraid of taking risks with its beautiful classics? Although it still depends on the film's blockbuster success, the decision to do something new with the property is a promising signal for the new wave of Disney remakes including the live-action of 'The Little Mermaid'.

Christina Aguilera will be part of the live-action of the movie "Mulán", CONFIRMED!

After all the controversy that has revolved around the live-action version of the film "Mulán", it has finally been revealed that the American singer Christina Aguilera will be part of this film. Fans of the film should be much more than excited, since at least we will have the remembered main soundtrack “Reflection”, from Aguilera's powerful voice.

The song "Reflection" is a favorite of fans of "Mulán" and Disney. Therefore, with the confirmation that the singer Christina Aguilera will return this iconic theme to the history of Hua Mulan, more than one fan has been happy after all the details they omitted from the film.

Recall that the live-action tape of "Mulán" has taken away the remembered characters of the dragon Mushu and Captain Shang, the great love of Mulán in the animated version of Disney. However, in the new version, we will see a somewhat different story from China's heroine. This generated the anger and disappointment of fans who hoped to have the same narrative in the next Disney production.

What has awakened hope in fans, is the return of singer Christina Aguilera after 20 years of having interpreted the remembered main theme of "Mulán". Through social networks it has been announced that Aguilera could be back with the song “Reflection” (My Reflection) with a remastered version. Although at the moment we do not know in which part of the tape this great subject could enter.

Another of the iconic themes of the Disney film "Mulán" is "I'll Make a Man Out of You" (Men of Action), however this has also been removed from the live-action version. According to the director of the film, Niki Caro, the film will take a more serious side of the war in China, so it is not necessary to have songs that would take away the historical moment.

Currently the market in Asia, is one of the most coveted for the industry, as there is a large number of population and demand. In many cases the collection of these countries can save or condemn a movie, as it has a large percentage in the world.

Mulán's production has an approximate heat of 290 million dollars, which is 10 million less than Avengers: Endgame, so reaching the Chinese market is the key to its profit, so it is certain that it will arrive.
